On Thursday, June 25th Episode One of the BILT Academy Podcast was published.
This is our first full episode and has been curated by our BILT Academy correspondent David. This month’s podcast is a technical podcast, and in it, David interviews a brilliant cast of experts.
During the podcast, we cover 4 topics with the help of 5 industry experts:
- Revit 2021 with guests Desiree Mackey of GEI Consultants & Brian Mackey of BD Mackey Consulting. An international building industry power couple and an unlimited source of disciplinary knowledge and high-end expertise in structural engineering and applied technologies based in Westminster, the United States.
- openBIM with guest Nathan Hildebrandt of Skewed in Brisbane Australia. Nathan is an Architect by trade, open BIM expert with a passion and fellow Podcaster on the Digital Transition.
- VR (Virtual Reality) with guest Johan Hanegraaf of Arkio who is based in Delft in the Netherlands. Johan is the VR expert leading the building industry in applying gamified design solutions to what VR is and how it is used within the building industry.
- AR & XR (Augmented and Mixed Reality) with guest Greg Demchak of Bentley Systems from Cambridge in the United States. Since studying computational design at the MIT school of architecture, Greg has pursued a passion for designing digital modelling interfaces for the AEC industry. His career progressed from designing for 3D simulation to 4D simulation. His most recent exploration involves moving the human-computer user experience into “mixed reality” where screens, keyboards and mice are no longer required.
